On September 20, 2016, 62 BCBSM retirees and their guests toured Detroit’s historic Pewabic Pottery, which was founded in 1903 by ceramic artists Mary Chase Perry Stratton and Horace James Caulkins , and is now considered a National Historic Landmark. After a fascinating glimpse into the art of pottery-making, attendees had lunch at Sinbad’s located along the Detroit River off of Jefferson Avenue.
